No Condemnation!

Image result for accuser meaning

Though the restless foe accuses,
Sins recounting like a flood;
Every charge our God refuses:
Christ has answered with His blood.

     Our enemy, the devil, is very relentless, and he attacks us in many different ways. "... your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:8. One way he attacks us is through condemnation. This can be done through self condemnation, when we are filled with shame and regret from past sins, or by using others to accuse and condemn us.

     It is so important for Christians to know and be assured of, that once we believed that Jesus died to pay the price for our sins, and have confessed our sins to God and repented of them, that is, not continuing on in sin, but rather, living lives in obedience to God, that we are now seen as clean and righteous in God's eyes. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:1. "As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." Psalm 103:12.

     If you are struggling with self condemnation from sins of your past, believe these promises from God's word. Remember that Satan wants nothing more than to hold you captive with your past. The devil wants to rob you of the joy and peace that comes from communion with the Lord. Don't let him rob you of this! Remember that once you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you have been set free from sin and bondage!

     And if you are being condemned and accused by others of your past sins, remember and trust these precious promises of God: "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Romans 8:31-34.
