The title of this blog is "Positive Changes". The one change most positive or important in anyone's life is this: "Ye must be born again." John 3:7.

In the gospel of Luke, chapter 14, we have a story of a man that prepared a great feast, and when all things were prepared, he invited many people to come join him at his home and enjoy a great dinner at his table. He sent his servants to go out everywhere to find people and invite them to his feast.

"A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, come; for all things are now ready..... And the servant said, master, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the master said unto the servant, go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled."

This story illustrates the gospel message. God realizes the great need of people here on earth that are starving, that is, dead in their sins and separated from God. The great supper that God prepared is this: He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to come down to this world, to be made in fashion as a man, to humble Himself, and to become obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Only a perfect, sinless sacrifice could have paid the penalty for our sin. Jesus lived that perfect, sinless life. Then, He willingly suffered, shed His precious blood, and was crucified on the cross. Then, after three days, God raised Him from the dead. He is now seated at God's right hand in glory, calling on every soul to believe on Him and receive Him as their personal Lord and Savior. This is what is being referred to in our story above, where it says "Come, for all things are now ready."

Indeed all things are now ready, Jesus has come down to earth, shed His blood, and died for us, and has been raised from the dead, and is alive and seated with God in Heaven. If you have not been "Born again", that is, received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, He is bidding you to "Come (just as you are), for all things are ready".

This is the Gospel of Grace "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8,9.

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed...  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."  Romans 10:9-11,13.

None of us are guaranteed of tomorrow, we are not even guaranteed our next breath, please consider the importance of these words, and stop, and pray to Jesus right now, acknowledging you are a sinner in need of salvation, and that you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and, by faith, you are trusting Him now for your salvation. Once you have done this, you have the assurance of spending eternity with God in Heaven.

Thank you for taking the time to read today's blog page. For, indeed, there is not a more "Positive Change" we can make in our life than this!
